History & Civilizations
History is neither a series of linear dates nor a moral court: it is the scientific study of change and human societies over the longue durée. Understanding the past means gaining a compass for the present, by exploring the deep structures that make and unmake civilizations.
This main category covers the entirety of human and strategic deployment: from the great figures who marked the centuries to the evolution of strategy and the art of war, alongside the total narrative of World War II. It explores eras (Prehistory, Antiquity, Middle Ages, Renaissance, modern and contemporary history) and opens up to world civilizations, the dynamics of empires, economic history, the history of religions, mentalities, and science, without forgetting the analysis of myths and historiography.
I approach it with the rigor of a historian by training—holding a Master’s degree in history from the Sorbonne—faithful to the heritage of the Annales School (Bloch, Febvre, Braudel). No sensationalism, no anachronism: the goal is to make documents speak, to deconstruct legends, and to understand the material, economic, and mental logic of those who came before us.
